BTU International Brings Its Next-Generation Aurora Reflow Platform to APEX 2026

Feb 16, 2026

BTU International, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment for the electronics manufacturing market, is heading to the 2026 APEX EXPO with its Aurora™ reflow platform, a system built for manufacturers who need tight process control, higher throughput, and equipment that can keep up with quickly evolving electronics designs. The company will showcase the platform in Booth 1800 at the Anaheim Convention Center from March 17-19.

The Aurora platform reflects a clean break from traditional fixed oven designs. Its factory-configurable heating and cooling architecture—a first in the industry—lets users tailor the oven to the exact needs of their product mix, whether that means handling unusually heavy boards, managing sensitive cooling requirements, or pushing throughput on high-volume SMT lines.

Aurora also folds several practical improvements into the design. BTU’s Aqua Scrub™ flux management system cuts down on the hands-on cleaning work that typically slows maintenance, while Smart Power controls help reduce gas and electricity consumption without sacrificing performance. The layout has been opened up for easier access, making routine service faster and less disruptive.

“Aurora was designed for the real-world challenges our customers face every day,” said Bob Bouchard, Director of Sales & Marketing at BTU International. “Boards are getting heavier, thermal requirements are all over the map, and manufacturers can’t afford long changeovers or unpredictable maintenance. This platform gives them the control and stability they need, without the overhead.”

Powered by Wincon 8™, BTU’s updated control software, Aurora brings better data visibility, more automation, and streamlined setup to the production floor. Between its energy efficiency, simplified maintenance, and tight thermal uniformity, the platform is built to deliver strong performance and a lower long-term cost of ownership.

BTU invites attendees to stop by Booth 1800 to see the Aurora platform in person and talk with the BTU team about how the system can be configured for specific production needs.
