Program Finalized for Counterfeit Electronic Parts West

SMTA and CALCE are pleased to announce that the program for the Counterfeit Electronic Parts and Electronic Supply Chain Symposium West is finalized and available on-line at smta.org/counterfeit and registration is open. The event will take place December 6-8, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort in Anaheim, California.

Tuesday, December 6 will include sessions about The Path Ahead, Views From The Problem Solvers, Authentication Tools and Techniques, and The Bigger Picture.  Wednesday, December 7 will feature sessions on Distribution, The Legal Issues, Creation, Detection and Risk Mitigation, and also an informative Panel Discussion on Counterfeit Detection.

Workshops taking place on Thursday, December 8 will focus on Supply Chain Management Practices, Counterfeit Parts Training, Electrical Testing for Part Authentication; and Open Market Vendor Qualification.

The conference is organized by SMTA in conjunction with the Center for Advanced Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) at the University of Maryland. This symposium will be valuable to quality and reliability manager, supply chain managers, brand protection specialists, inspectors, marketing and procurement policy makers, contracts and legal management, security specialists and government agencies. The focus is to provide relevant information to the professionals that can be used for solving problems today while planning for a different business and technology environment in the future.
