Technical Presentation:
Flexible Circuits Design Seminar covering the following topics:
- Flex circuit benefits
- Construction Types
- Material Properties
- Design for Flexibility
- Impedance control on Cross-hatched Shields
Presentation Speaker:
Lawrence Smith; Applications Engineer with Molex
Abstract:
Flexible printed circuits are electro – mechanical devices. They require sound design practices to be successful. This presentation will cover these design techniques which focus on stress management and the flex material properties which drives these design techniques resulting in robust flex circuit designs. This presentation will also cover how cross-hatch shields maybe used to increase flexibility while maintaining impedance control and signal integrity.
