The 10th Annual Medical Electronics Symposium will be held at Marylhurst University near Portland, Oregon, on September 16-17, 2015. SMTA, iNEMI, MEPTEC and OregonBio will once again co-host this year’s international symposium, which will focus on advances in electronic technologies and advanced manufacturing, specifically targeting medical and bioscience applications.
The Technical Committee chairs, Chuck Richardson of the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) and Don Banks of St. Jude Medical, are currently soliciting abstracts for presentations of relevant research across the following technology tracks:
- Track 1 - Components and Designs for High - Density Medical Electronics
- Track 2 - Solutions for Medical Electronics Assembly and Volume Manufacturing
- Track 3 - Next Generation Microelectronics for Changing Healthcare Markets
The deadline for submission is May 1, 2015. Anyone interested in presenting at this event can submit an abstract at http://www.smta.org/medical/call_for_presentations.cfm. There is not a technical paper requirement for this symposium. Presentations are due on August 21, 2015.
The conference will include an exhibition area featuring more than 30 tabletop displays that will be open during conference breaks plus after hours. There are also numerous opportunities for sponsorships. For more information about exhibiting please contact Patti Coles, SMTA, at patti@smta.org or 952-920-7682; and for sponsorship information please contact Gina Edwards, MEPTEC at gedwards@meptec.org or call 408-858-5493.
