SMTA Opens China Office in Shenzhen

SMT Magazine(March 25, 2003) Minneapolis -- The SMTA has opened an office in Shenzhen to meet the needs of industry professionals in Southern China.

The office will be responsible for soliciting memberships and planning technical programs. Tony Chu of Toptouch manages the office.

SMTA president Rod Howell, Libra Industries, attended the grand opening ceremony with fellow SMTA board member Sammy Yi, Flextronics. SMTA is currently working with the Shenzhen office to establish an Internet portal to SMTA Mandarin-translated literature.
