SMTA International Offers Cost Savings and Technical Excellence

Aug 09, 2010

Minneapolis, MN - In an effort to accommodate companies recovering from the struggling economy, SMTA is offering valuable free events and cost-saving options for SMTA International attendees in addition to the strong technical conference for which they are renowned. The conference will be held at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida on October 24-28, 2010.

Saving money is crucial for companies and the SMTA is serious about making networking and learning opportunities available for all companies. One important cost-saving offering is the 4-for-the-price-of-3 registration for companies sending multiple attendees. Companies serving the military and space industries will benefit by the inclusion of the AIMS Harsh Environments Symposium in the normal technical conference registration instead of a separate registration fee.

Each day of the Electronics Exhibition will feature even more free sessions and events on the show floor, augmenting the already complimentary attendance. Free events on Tuesday include sessions on Reducing Manufacturing Variation, BGA Joint Inspection Using Dye & Pry Testing, BGA Reballing Workshop, Counterfeit Electronic Components, the Opening Session, and FREE Lunch. Wednesday's free events include sessions on Selective Soldering, Accurate Non-destructive Profiling, Pad Site Dress Methods, RoHS Recast, the iNEMI Roadmap, and Celebrity Electronics Jeopardy.

SMTA member loyalty will also be rewarded this year with a free tutorial. On Thursday morning, October 28, star instructor, Rob Rowland, RadiSys Corporation, will teach his popular "Pb-free Reflow and Wave Soldering Yield Improvement" course free to SMTA members. Advance registration is required to ensure adequate space.
