SMTA China and Hong Kong Chapter Announce the Winners of the 2010 Annual Awards

SMTA China held its annual awards presentation in conjunction with the SMTA China 5th Anniversary Keynote Breakfast Reception, which took place September 1, 2010 at the Futian Shangri-la, Shenzhen Hotel.

Alex Choi, General Manager of Vtech Communications Ltd., was named Officer of the Year. Alex has provided support for the SMTA China conferences for years and is one of the pioneers of the annual golf tournament for the SMTA Hong Kong Chapter. He served the SMTA Hong Kong Chapter as President from 2006-2008 and has been a board member since 2004.

Simon Lam, General Manager of Qantas Technology Ltd., was named Individual Member of the Year. Simon has been a very active member in addition to providing full support to the conference and training for the SMTA China and Hong Kong Chapters for years. He is one of the key hosts for SMTA China Vendor Conferences.

Kasion Automation Limited was named Corporate Member of the Year. Kasion has been an International Corporate Member for 10 years, and continues to sponsor SMTA China and its events including conferences and golf tournaments. Kasion has provided complimentary support in areas such as administration, design and organization for the conferences and training of SMTA China for years.

Reed Exhibitions (China) Ltd., Shanghai Branch was named Partner Sponsor of the Year.

Reed Exhibitions has sponsored SMTA China conferences and meetings in conjunction with other Nepcon shows in Shanghai and Shenzhen for years. Reed is SMTA China’s biggest sponsor to date.

SMT China Magazine was named Media Sponsor of the Year. SMT China Magazine has provided a great deal of support in the SMTA China Conference Program to promote the technology conferences, vendor conferences, training courses, annual reception and dinner, as well as the annual golf tournament sponsorship with the official Nepcon show daily publications.
