Photon Dynamics, Inc. (Aliso Viejo, CA), a global supplier of integrated yield management solutions for the display, electronics and glass markets, today announced an advanced technology collaboration with SMTEK International (Moorpark, CA), an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider.
As electronic devices require more densely populated printed circuit board assemblies with fine pitch and hidden interconnects, inspection for defects and maximizing process yields continue to be more of a challenge for manufacturers. To better understand the increasingly stringent demands on electronics manufacturers, Photon Dynamics will collaborate with SMTEK International to enhance and accelerate the development of its yield management capabilities.
