Intel Executive Keynotes 2013 IPC Electronic System Technologies Conference

Apr 25, 2013

Although mobile electronics dominate the consumer electronics market, Zane Ball, vice president, architecture group and general manager, PC client group at Intel Corporation confirms the “all-in-one” PC or AIO is holding its own, showing double-digit sales growth in recent years. Ball will discuss this trend as the Tuesday Luncheon keynote speaker at IPC Electronic System Technologies Conference (IPC ESTC), Tuesday, May 21, 2013, in Las Vegas.

Ball’s presentation, “Consumer and Market Trends in PCs,” will concentrate on past and current trends in client PCs. He will also share his predictions on the opportunities ahead and new concepts centered on AIOs, which integrate computer components with the display and rely on a single power plug.

We’re pleased to welcome Mr. Ball as a keynote speaker for ESTC,” says Sanjay Huprikar, IPC vice president of member success. “His insights and predictions about emerging innovations in technology and product design are sure to resonate with attendees in every area of the electronics industry.”

Ball’s keynote will be complimented by a demonstration on the exhibit floor of the latest generation of adaptive all-in-ones (AAIO), such as Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon 27’’ Table PC, Sony VAIO Tap 20 Mobile Desktop, and Dell XPS 18 Portable All-in-One; in addition to Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga, the latest multi-mode notebook by Lenovo, and the Xbox Kinect by Microsoft. Some of these units will be drawing prizes for conference attendees.

IPC ESTC is a new event that targets the entire electronics industry — from product design and analyses through component packaging and printed board assembly to complete systems — to create a new framework for technology interchange and innovation.

Along with Ball’s keynote, IPC ESTC will offer seven additional keynote presentations, a robust technical conference with 13 specialized tracks, an array of professional development courses, an exhibition, networking receptions, luncheons and standards development meetings.

More information about IPC ESTC is available at www.ipc.org/ESTC. For registration options, visit www.ipc.org/ESTC-register. Access to the exhibit hall is free to pre-registrants, a savings of $25. Individuals who register by April 26 can save $100 on the conference.
