The SMTA Capital Chapter is pleased to announce its second meeting of 2014 on May 6th, from 5:30 pm until 8 pm at Honeywell, 7000 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia, MD 21046. The focus of this chapter meeting will be “What’s New in IPC J-STD-001F and IPC-A-610F” presented by Ms. Helena Pasquito, IPC Master Instructor.
Changes that address evolving manufacturing and soldering technologies featured in Revision F of these key industry standards, IPC J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, and IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies, are addressed. The new revisions include new SMT termination styles, added hole-fill requirements, training and proficiency requirements. An overview of Space Amendments and a status of major standards going forward will be presented.
Ms. Pasquito has more than 25 years of industry experience in the field of IPC standards. She is an approved certified IPC Master Instructor with EPTAC Corporation, leading provider of IPC training, for the standards IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and an EPTAC Master Instructor for Hand Soldering of Wires and Terminals, Through-Hole, Surface Mount soldering as well as Inspection and Crimping Technology in addition she is a certified ISO 9001 Auditor. Ms. Pasquito is the recipient of the IPC Distinguished Committee Service Award. She is a member and a regular contributor of several industry associations such as SMTA and ESDA. Ms. Pasquito holds a BS in Business Management and Human Resources Management from New Hampshire University as well as the Six Sigma Green Belt.
