May 14, 2014 Today, Congressman Randy Hultgren (R-IL-14) visited Petroferm, a Vantage Chemicals business, at the company’s Lambent Technologies manufacturing facility in Gurnee, Ill., to learn first-hand about priority legislative and regulatory issues that impact the electronics manufacturing industry.
“I want to extend my appreciation to Petroferm and IPC for arranging this tour and hosting today’s meeting,” said Rep. Hultgren. “When our state is still suffering from above-average unemployment, it is imperative we support our local businesses and manufacturers which provide thousands of jobs to Illinois workers. Petroferm is one of these crucial businesses and is an excellent example of U.S. innovation.”
Rep. Hultgren’s visit included a tour of the Gurnee facility that manufactures and supplies high-reliability cleaning products for electronics assembly and semiconductor packaging applications. In addition to providing Petroferm branded products, Lambent Technologies manufactures high-quality, naturally derived specialty chemicals and intermediates for a broad range of industrial and consumer applications. Lambent’s strengths are in surfactants, emulsifiers, performance additives, and other organic specialties synthesized using esterification and alkoxylation chemistries.
