Three Industry Volunteers Receive IPC President’s Award Awards Presented for Contributions to IPC and Electronics Industry

Mar 03, 2015

In recognition of their significant contributions of time, talent and ongoing leadership in IPC and the electronics industry, three long-time IPC volunteers were presented with IPC President's Awards at IPC APEX EXPO® at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif. The award recipients were: Kathy Johnston, Raytheon Missile Systems; Steve Martell, Sonoscan, Inc.; and Lee Wilmot, of TTM Technologies, Inc.

Johnston was honored for her contribution to IPC's printed electronics initiative and service on 18 IPC technical committees. Specifically, Johnston’s leadership was instrumental in the development of several technical standards. Her experience includes serving as vice chair of the 5-22a J-STD-001 Task Group.

Also honored, Martell was recognized for his contributions and leadership to the industry and IPC through his dedicated service in standards, technology, and education for component and assembly topics. Among his accomplishments, Martell serves on nine IPC technical committees and has a leadership role in two.

The third recipient, Wilmot, earned a President’s Award for his contributions and leadership to the industry and IPC through dedicated service in environmental, health, and safety regulatory and legislative compliance, policy, and related standards. He currently serves on 26 IPC technical committees with a leadership role in four.

"IPC and the entire electronics industry are fortunate to have these dedicated individuals volunteer their time and expertise to IPC standards and program development," said John Mitchell, IPC president and CEO. "Their work has enriched both the industry and IPC. I am thankful for their dedication and hard work."
