Congressman Mike Honda Visits Bay Area Circuits’ Manufacturing Plant in California

Apr 07, 2016

Part of IPC’s Continuing Efforts to Connect Electronics Manufacturers with Policymakers

Today, Congressman Mike Honda (D-CA-17) met with executives and employees of Bay Area Circuits at their manufacturing facility in Fremont, California. Coordinated by IPC, the world's leading association for electronics manufacturing companies, this visit is part of a nationwide effort to educate policymakers about legislative and regulatory issues that affect the electronics manufacturing industry.

“I am grateful to Bay Area Circuits for hosting me today,” said Congressman Honda. “It’s great to hear from the employees that have played a vital role in the company’s success. It’s a reminder of the contributions they make to this country’s and California’s economy.”

Bay Area Circuits is a quality-driven printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer that has served the industry for more than 40 years. With a focus on quick-turn prototyping while utilizing innovation and advanced technology, Bay Area Circuits has become the PCB supplier of choice for customers around the world.

It is inspiring to see our elected officials take a genuine interest in hearing our stories and learning about our industry,” said Stephen Garcia, president, Bay Area Circuits. “We look forward to working with Congressman Honda to stimulate economic growth in California.”

Congressman Honda’s visit was part of IPC’s “Meet the Policymakers” program, in which IPC government relations staff arrange opportunities for electronics manufacturers to host their elected officials at company locations.
