Part of IPC’s Continuing Efforts to Connect Electronics Manufacturers with Policymakers
Today, Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-VA-10) met with executives and employees of IPC-member company TTM Technologies at their manufacturing facility in Sterling, Virginia. Coordinated by IPC, the world’s leading association for the electronics industry, this visit is part of an ongoing effort to help policymakers learn first-hand about legislative and regulatory issues that impact the industry. “We were proud to host Representative Comstock at our Virginia facility today,” said Tom Edman, president and CEO of TTM Technologies. “It was a pleasure to give her a behind-the-scenes look of our facility and discuss how we can continue to contribute to Virginia’s manufacturing industry.” TTM Technologies is the largest printed circuit board (PCB) supplier in North America and one of the largest suppliers in the world. The company prides itself on being a one-stop manufacturing solution, covering all stages of the product’s life cycle. With 25 factories worldwide, TTM has proven itself a global leader in PCB manufacturing and custom electronic assembly and integration.
“I enjoyed getting an in-depth look at TTM Technologies' manufacturing work today,” said Congresswoman Comstock. “It's companies like these that drive Virginia's economy. I thank TTM's employees for sharing their stories and facilitating an open dialogue about the polices that impact their industry. I look forward to continuing this conversation as we work together to ensure Virginia’s manufacturing industry thrives.”
Congresswoman Comstock’s visit was part of IPC’s “Meet the Policymakers” program, in which IPC government relations staff arrange opportunities for electronics manufacturers to host their elected officials at company locations.
