Congressman Bill Johnson Visits TTM Technologies Manufacturing Facility in Ohio

Aug 13, 2016

Part of IPC’s Continuing Efforts to Connect Electronics Manufacturers with Policymakers

Today, Congressman Bill Johnson (R-OH-6) met with executives and employees of IPC-member company TTM Technologies, Inc. ("TTM") at their manufacturing facility in North Jackson, Ohio. Coordinated by IPC, the world’s leading association for the electronics industry, this visit is part of an ongoing effort to help policymakers learn first-hand about legislative and regulatory issues that impact the industry.

“I want to thank Congressman Johnson for touring our facility and taking the time to hear from our employees today,” said Phil Titterton, President of TTM’s Aerospace & Defense / Specialty Business Unit. “Congressman Johnson is a longtime advocate of our industry, and we appreciate his work to ensure manufacturing continues to prosper in Ohio.”

TTM is the largest printed circuit board (PCB) supplier in North America and one of the largest suppliers in the world. The company prides itself on being a one-stop manufacturing solution, covering all stages of the product’s life cycle. With 25 factories worldwide, TTM has proven itself a global leader in PCB manufacturing and custom electronics assembly and integration.

“I appreciate TTM for inviting me to visit their facility today,” said Congressman Johnson. “It is critically important that elected officials hear directly from those that are impacted by the decisions they make. This is just one of many stops I am making up and down Eastern and Southeastern Ohio during this August work period. I know how important this industry is to the Mahoning Valley, and the information I learned here today is very valuable -- something I plan to take back to Washington and share with my colleagues.”

Congressman Johnson’s visit was part of IPC’s “Meet the Policymakers” program, in which IPC government relations staff arrange opportunities for electronics manufacturers to host their elected officials at company locations.
