IPC Develops Virtual and Actual TMRC Conference

Mar 04, 2003

IPC-Association Connecting Electronics Industries (Northbrook, IL) has developed two ways to participate in the Technology Market Research Council (TMRC) meeting, taking place on May 6, 2003. Participants can either call-in to the conference or attend in person at the Hilton Chicago O'Hare Airport, Chicago, IL.

"In addition to the topical presentations, one of the fundamental benefits of attending an IPC TMRC meeting has always been the networking opportunities for attendees with peers, suppliers and customers," said Jeff Morton, IPC's director of marketing research. "We knew, though, that growing industry constraints would require us to examine alternatives for participants who wanted to, but were simply unable to attend. I believe that this year's conference, with its dual formats, will provide both our attendees and 'tele-attendees' a prime opportunity to receive the pertinent market data they so strongly desire."

For the one-day event, IPC has gathered experts from the electronic interconnect industries and leaders from the electronics manufacturing services, interconnect manufacturing services/printed circuit board and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) sectors who will center their presentations around answering the question, "Where do we go from here?"

Scheduled speakers include: J. Keith Dunne, managing director and research analyst at RBC Capital Markets; Walt Custer, president of Custer Consulting Group; Kenton Alder, TTM Technologies president and CEO; Stacey Peterson, CFO and secretary at TTM Technologies;Roy Bauer, Pemstar, Inc.'s executive vice president, North American Operations; and Lawrence Wiklund, Intel Corp.'s director of components and systems materials operation.

Physical attendees will be able to develop business contacts and discuss industry topics in a relaxed setting during a networking breakfast from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m., and at a networking luncheon from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.

Teleconference attendees will be able to download the presentations and listen from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Central Standard Time (CST) and from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., CST.
