Nation’s Fastest Growing Electronics Manufacturing Marketplace Gears Up for Electronics Midwest

Jul 09, 2010

BANNOCKBURN, IL - With recent PCB book-to-bill reports showing positive signs of economic recovery in North America, the timing for building business in the electronics manufacturing industry seems ideal, especially in the Midwest. Helping companies take advantage of the favorable conditions and new industry trends, IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries® and Canon Communications have joined forces to produce Electronics Midwest, an exhibition and technical conference for the electronics assembly and printed board design and manufacturing industries. Providing business and technology solutions that save time, energy and money, Electronics Midwest will bring the best of the global electronics industry together, September 28–30, 2010, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, Ill.

Pooling the strengths of both IPC and Canon, Electronics Midwest will feature a premier electronics manufacturing exhibition with industry leaders such as Assembléon America, Chemcut Corporation, Europlacer North America, Fuji America Corporation, Juki Automation Systems, MYDATA automation, Rogers Corporation and Uyemura International Corporation. In addition, Electronics Midwest welcomes several new companies that have signed on including All Flex, HEPCO Inc., LPKF Laser & Electronics, Molded Fiber Glass Tray Company, mta automation, Prototron Circuits Inc., QTS Engineering Inc., RPS Automation, Scienscope International Corporation, Shenzhen Suntak Multilayer PCB Co., Siemens Manufacturing, Suntech Circuits Inc., and Tianjin Sanmerit International.

The exhibition will also feature the Electronics Assembly Suppliers’ Initiative (EASi ) Line, a working assembly line on the show floor. Equipment on the EASi-Line will be used to demonstrate state-of-the-art surface mount assembly and through hole technology, while on-site experts detail the line’s processes and equipment.

At Electronics Midwest, IPC will host a technical conference on electronics sustainability; professional development workshops focused on the recent changes in key industry standards, such as IPC-A-610E, IPC J-STD-001E, IPC-A-600H and IPC-6012C; and more than 70 standards development meetings where the industry’s leaders from around the world contribute to the standards used by the global electronics manufacturing industry.

Electronics Midwest is co-located with Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) Midwest, Design & Manufacturing Midwest, Assembly & Automation Technology Expo, PLASTEC Midwest and Green Manufacturing Expo.
