New IPC Study on Flexible Circuits Industry Forecasts Growth in 2010

Nov 03, 2010

BANNOCKBURN, IL - Following a decline in North American flexible circuit production of 2.3 percent in 2009 and a one percent decline in North American sales growth, the North American flexible circuit industry is predicting nine percent sales growth in 2010. This is just one of the trends explored in 2009-2010 Industry Analysis and Forecast for Flexible Circuits in North America, published by IPC.

The survey-based study presents data and analysis on trends in the North American flexible circuit industry, including growth estimates and sales history, PCB forecast, number of fabricators, trends in materials, sales by product type, production mix (high-volume vs. quick-turn vs. prototype), trends in line width and spacing, revenue trends from value-added services, industry end-markets by product type, and U.S. imports and exports. The study includes forecasts of total PCB production for North America and the world through 2012, and historical data showing the long-range trends.

A representative sample of 10 North American flexible circuit producers participated in the survey. They have $168 million in total sales and account for approximately 45 percent of the North American market. Companies that participated receive the report free.
