"It was as if the quiet of the past two years erupted in a gale force of some of the most remarkable research we have reviewed in a long time," says IPC Technical Conference Director Greg Munie, Ph.D. "Clearly, our industry has been busy making progress and innovating. Over two-and-a-half days, 35 sessions with nearly 100 research papers will be presented on topics such as counterfeiting, lead-free reliability, embedded devices, environmental issues, high speed/RF, moisture & laminates, solar power, and sustainability. In addition, the areas of soldering processes, head-on-pillow defects, design, reliability and stencil printing have multiple sessions dedicated to the topics due to the wealth of new information available.
"Lead-free processes and higher temperatures continue to challenge the industry on a number of fronts. One of the great advantages of IPC APEX EXPO is the chance to network and find solutions from multiple levels of the supply chain," continued Munie.
Technologists can register for the full technical conference or for one day. There are also other special registration packages to allow registrants to select a number of educational programs and to save significantly. The All-Access Package not only includes the full technical conference, but also up to five professional development courses, luncheons, and options to attend the executive management meetings or Designers Forum. In addition, an early-bird registration before March 14 can save registrants 20 percent off the registration fees. Registrants of the full technical conference will receive the proceedings and access to the post-show video archive for selected sessions.
Individuals interested in the conference who cannot attend IPC APEX EXPO may wish to take advantage of the IPC Cyber Conference, streaming seven select technical conference sessions live online. These sessions will be available in a post-show video archive for four months after the show.
