Illinois-based PCB provider M~Wave, Inc. announced on February 18 that CE Electronics (CEE), headquartered in Bryan, Ohio, has signed a three-year Supply Chain Management agreement with M~Wave utilizing its Virtual Manufacturing business unit. CEE provides contract manufacturing services for leading OEMs in the electronic industry. The company provides high-tech printed circuit board assemblies to the elevator and industrial products markets.
M~Wave said it expects to ship approximately $750,000-$1 million of PCBs to CEE over the term of the agreement.
According to Joseph A. Turek, M~Wave's chairman and CEO, this deal is M~Wave's thirteenth supply chain agreement to date. He added, "We expect to double this number of contracts by the end of 2003. We continue to expand our sales network. We work exclusively through Sales Representative Organizations. This year we have increased our network of sales reps from 10 to 30 across the nation."
Mr. Turek went on to say, "Virtual Manufacturing contractually supplies all of the printed circuit needs of our customer, from prototype to mass production, by managing the complete procurement process. We utilize a global base of suppliers in the Pacific Rim and China that allows our customers to benefit from lower worldwide manufacturing prices. We deliver products when the customer needs them through either consignment inventory or just-in-time programs."
