Jef Nielsen, Process Engineering Manager at Inovar, said that the systems allow them to increase reflow capability, and that they provide precise process control and superior value for high production in a 24/7 environment. “At Inovar, we want to be able to manufacture the most complex assemblies. The Vitronics reflow ovens will provide us with the ability to reflow these assemblies with high quality. Additionally the AUTOset software has dramatically reduced the time needed to create reflow profiles on new assemblies.”
The Vitronics Soltec XPM3 product platform is the latest evolution in a long history of reflow systems that have proven their capability worldwide and established a reputation for superior reliability. The ovens feature a robust design combined with a unique heat transfer system. Each of the systems has 10 heating zones and three cooling zones, and one of the ovens is nitrogen capable. The heating zones have a composite high mass fast response heater plate with diffuser plate for even heat distribution in zone, and the easy-to-maintain cooling zones have top and bottom forced convection cooling cells. Additionally, the reflow systems feature OEM KIC 2000 profiling software and AUTOset integrated profile predicting software to reduce initial recipe/profile setup time.
“Inovar presented us with some very specific soldering challenges and we are very pleased to hear that the XPM3 is providing Inovar with a high level of performance and reliability,” said Mick Austin, Sales Director Americas at Vitronics Soltec. “We have specialized in soldering for 100 years and continue to strive for innovative solutions such as AUTOset that exceed our customer expectations.”
