PCB manufacturer OEM Worldwide is transferring more than 45 jobs from its Spearfish, South Dakota factory to its plant in Watertown, SD, and will build a new building in Watertown that could mean as many as 300 jobs in the future, according to an Associated Press report posted on Rapid City Journal.com (March 18, 2003). The Watertown factory currently employs about 150 people, the article stated.
OEM Worldwide manufactures PCBs for medical and high-technology electronics products, according to the report. OEM president Ted Miller was cited as saying that construction of a new plant at Watertown could increase employment to more than 300 positions.
