EKRA Files Lawsuit

Bonnigheim, Germany November 18, 2002 � EKRA GmbH has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Speedline Technologies in the district court of Mannheim, Germany. The action was filed regarding Speedline�s infringement of EKRA�s 2 1/2D Inspection Technology patents.

As an international market share leader for screen printers, EKRA possesses many internationally patented technologies that relate to material deposition in electronics. With a history that spans over 50 years, EKRA�s library of technology art is extensive. In fact, many of the pioneering technologies in the area of screen printing were first developed at EKRA.

Speedline, and its prior entity MPM, has been importing and selling in Germany screen printers having features or options covered by patents that are owned by EKRA. In the patent action, EKRA seeks damages for Speedline�s infringement of EKRA�s patents as well as an injunction prohibiting Speedline from further sale of the infringing products in Germany.
