The PMC-4U features the Exar 854 quad UART and Zilog 85X30 Serial Communications Controller. The PMC-4U utilizes a Xilinx FPGA to provide a 33/32 PCI interface and control for the UART and SCC. The IO from the Quad UART and Serial Communications
