Orem, UT October 23, 2002 - Wolf Electronix received top honors as the Utah 100 #1 fastest growing company during an Awards Luncheon attended by Utah Governor, Michael Leavitt at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City recently. It was the eighth annual ceremony hosted by the MountainWest Venture Group (MWVG) where Wolf Electronix was selected from more than 11,000 companies. The top five recipients had on average growth rate of 5,500 percent during the last five years. Wolf Electronix experienced more than 7,100 percent growth over that same period. Wolf Electronix is an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) Provider founded in 1996 by a father and four sons. Wolf specializes in surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole printed circuit board manufacturing. They service a broad range of different industries that include communications, medical, high-speed Internet access and education to name a few.
This is a tremendous honor for our company where the EMS industry has seen such dramatic decline over the past year, stated Jim Trent Jr., President, We attribute this growth to hard work and our commitment to exceeding our customers needs. Moreover, we recognize their help in making us #1. Wolf will soon be announcing plans for an additional 14,000 square feet in Orem with a new proto-type line. Discussions are still underway but a decision has not been reached as to whether well be opening an SMT line in the Denver area; with a few additional purchase orders from that area, it could be definite.
