phoenix|x-ray Moves to New Premises And Expects an Outstanding Business Year of 2001

Jun 05, 2001

In April, after a construction time of merely five months and according to plan, phoenix|x-ray Systems + Services, a manufacturer of ultra high resolution X-ray technology for the global electronics and semiconductor industries, moved to its new central office in Wunstorf near Hanover, Germany. The complex of two buildings occupying over 4.000 square metres, houses the company's administration, modern production facility, research & development and applications centre. Interested customers now can look over different types of X-ray systems at any time and perform 'hands on' practical evaluations themselves.

"The entire building has been designed for our specific requirements and is optimised for the production of ultra-high resolution X-ray Systems", says Mr. Helmut Appelt, managing director of phoenix|x-ray. "This, in particular, further improved the production processes and enabled us to offer remarkably shorter delivery times to our customers."

After an unprecedented sales volume of DM 20 million (US$ 9.7 million) in 2000 the phoenix|x-ray group of companies now expects a further increase of turnover by 25 % to DM 25 million. Particularly in Germany, the home market of the company, phoenix|x-ray received orders summing up to the outstanding amount of DM 3 million during the first quarter of 2001.

phoenix|x-ray meanwhile has 45 employees world-wide and is supported by a network of more than 30 international representatives and service locations. In addition to the central office in Wunstorf the company owns a subsidiary company in the U.S. and branch offices in Stuttgart, Germany, and in the Philippines. In the year 2001 phoenix|x-ray will be present at over 30 trade shows all over the world.
