Seika Machinery, Inc., a leading provider of advanced machinery, materials and engineering services, announces that Michelle Ogihara, Senior Sales Manager at Seika, will co-host the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) Women’s Leadership Program at SMTA International along with Marie Cole, Distinguished Engineer, Supplier Technical Management, IBM Corporation. The event is scheduled to take place before the start of SMTA International on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 from 12:30-6 p.m. and is free to all attendees.
Event chairs Priyanka Dobriyal, Ph.D., Intel Corporation, and Elizabeth Benedetto, HP Inc., invite everyone at SMTA International to attend the Women's Leadership Program to promote women in engineering fields. Get inspired by speakers from Celestica, Rochester Institute of Technology, Ross Consulting, Plexus and more. This will be held on Monday afternoon from 12:30-3 p.m.
A panel discussion will follow at 3:30 p.m. in which panelists will share their unique stories about their motivation to choose a career in engineering, mentorship and their contributions in advancing careers of women.
The afternoon concludes with the annual Connection Reception sponsored by KYZEN with wine and appetizers from 5-6 p.m. All women attending SMTA International are invited to attend the annual SMTA Women’s Leadership Connection Reception where women can come together to network and socialize.
