Ultrasonic Systems, Inc. announces new platform

USI has developed a new product line -- the PRISM Ultra-Coat Series. This new line of Automated Spray Coating machines uses patented Ultrasonic Technology, which improves yield and reduces emissions and overspray when compared to conventional air-atomizing spray nozzles. These new systems feature USI�s proprietary Ultra-Spray technology that delivers precision, selective coating for Conformal Coatings, Fluxes, Conductive inks, and Adhesives. The PRISM Ultra Coat Series utilizes an X, Y, Z gantry with precision ball screws and a Windows NT operating system for motion control. The system has applications in PCB assembly, semiconductor processing, and industrial assembly.

The PRISM Ultra-Coat Spray head can be configured for each application and is able to spray virtually any liquid, from low viscosity fluxes and solvents to thicker conformal coatings and adhesives. The PRISM has an 18� x 18� spray application area and is available with a multi-zone conveyor for inline operation (photo included) or a stand-alone system for batch operation.
