Simplimatic Automation Introduces Precise, Cost-Effective Multiple Axis Laser Marker

Sep 10, 2014

Lynchburg, Virginia – August 20, 2014 – Simplimatic Automation – a leading provider of conveyors and automation for the semiconductor, electronics, packaging, assembly, pharmaceutical and automotive industries – has developed a precise, high-speed multiple axis laser marker. This innovative design delivers permanent, smudge-free etching capabilities on virtually any non-metallic surface through a stable, reliable marking platform.

Fully integrated into an easy-to-use Windows 7® operator interface, the model 3341 Laser Marker provides lower-cost operation when compared to ink jet and label marking systems. The unit utilizes a 30-watt CO2 laser to permanently etch an infinite number of places anywhere within an 18” x 20” marking envelop. Options for larger marking envelopes are available, and the laser system can be tuned for specific materials, speeds and applications.

Typical functions for the marking system include corporate logos, bar codes, 2D matrices, board designators, and product identification information such as serial numbers, lot numbers and time/date stamps. “We are thrilled to introduce our Multiple Laser Marker to benefit a range of industries and applications,” said Jeremy Vaughan, Director of Project Management and Customer Service. “Through its user-friendly interface and high-speed etching capabilities, this precise laser marking system is designed to perform effectively, efficiently and accurately on nearly any non-metallic surface.”

The Multiple Axis Laser Marker Model 3341 standard features include:

• 30-watt CO2 Laser
• High-speed DC stepper motor conveyor
• Servo controlled X-Y Gantry
• Windows 7® operating system
• On-board 1D or 2D mark reader
