Kurtz Ersa Inc. Awarded for Hand Soldering for New IoT Soldering Station, i-CON TRACE

Nov 12, 2021

Kurtz Ersa Inc. today announced that it received a 2021 Mexico Technology Award in the category of Hand Soldering for its new IoT soldering station, i-CON TRACE. The award was announced during a ceremony that took place Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021 during SMTA International in Minneapolis, MN.

“Hand soldering equipment has experienced many advancements since the founder of Ersa, Ernst Sachs, invented and patented the first electric soldering iron in 1921,” stated Todd DeZwarte, Sales Manager, North America, Rework, Inspection & Tools. “The i-CON TRACE is yet another revolutionary product introduced by Kurtz Ersa with unparalleled possibilities. The i-CON TRACE takes hand soldering traceability and documentation to a whole new level.”

As Ersa‘s first IoT soldering station, i-CON TRACE revolutionizes the market of industrial soldering stations. The i-CON TRACE is the first soldering station that enables complete process control in manual soldering straight out-of-the-box.

The soldering station is primarily intended for use in a digitally connected environment - essential settings are made via I/O devices that are already integrated into the company network, such as PCs, tablets or smartphones. Additionally, a customer‘s MES can be used for data exchange by means of a suitable interface. This enables the user simultaneous access to all soldering stations in the network and makes operation extremely convenient

The Mexico Technology Awards acknowledge the latest innovations available in Mexico produced by OEM manufacturing equipment and materials suppliers during the last 12 months. For more information, visit www.mexicoems.com/mta-awards.
