PROMATION, Inc. releases a new, flexible robotic platform for top side selective soldering - PROFLEX

Gary Goldberg, President and CEO PROMATION stated “I am delighted to announce that our engineering team in Fort Worth, headed up by Victor Trotter (CTO) has finalized our new cross platform soldering robot for top side applications”. “The PROFLEX platform is an innovative design which may be configured for a single head, or a multi-head expandable assembly platform. Robots may be configured in a multitude of assembly solutions to create a high output line, or progressive soldering solution”.

The PROFLEX platform may be configured for: Hot Iron soldering, Diode Laser soldering, Diode Laser with Hot Air assist, or just Hot Air. Additional heads may be added for Paste Dispense and/or pick and place prior to soldering.

The system is initially being offered in single nest, dual slide shuttle and in-line conveyor versions. Built on a rugged welded steel frame, the platform is designed for mid to extremely high volume production.
