Europlacer, a manufacturer of market-leading flexible SMT placement machines, announces that it has named Precision Automation & Assembly (PAA) as its Manufacturer’s Representative within the New England, New York and Long Island territories.

Precision Automation & Assembly is a manufacturers’ representative firm that provides high-quality equipment and consumables for electronic assembly in New England. Known throughout the industry as one of the leading representative firms, the company has more than 40 years of experience and represents only the highest quality products available.

These are exciting times at Europlacer North America, especially in New England. Bob Wons and Mike Brown are well-respected reps who have earned a reputation for taking a true ‘consultative’ approach to selling electronics equipment/supplies and we welcome them onboard,” said Chris Merow, the North American Sales manager for Europlacer.

They are already actively educating customers as to how the Europlacer platform is uniquely designed to provide significant advantages over their competitors. ‘Hyper-Productivity’ for high-tech/high-mix and getting more jobs on and off the machine every day is what this platform is all about,” added Merow. “Additionally, numerous features such as an extensive feeder count (264 - 8mm) for less than $300 list each, 15-second load, truly intelligent feeders, simple, yet powerful Windows-based software, award-winning ‘3 Dimensional Adaptive Positioning System’, strong local customer references and the best available 5-year warranty certainly will make it possible for Bob and Mike to get us involved in many new opportunities this year and beyond.”

Typically, New England CMs and OEMs are very sophisticated, producing a higher technology and lower volume but a higher mix of PCBs. In recent years, we have seen trends toward flexible, one machine line solutions,” said Bob Wons, Co-owner, PAA. “We are excited to be part of the truly modern and different approach to building circuit boards that Europlacer offers — one that is priced competitively with higher feeder counts, a smaller footprint, more flexibility (with less compromise) and a proven, significantly lower cost of ownership.”

This is the fourth in a series of recent moves that Europlacer has made to enhance capabilities and to support/ prove its long-term commitment to this market. The company is opening a Demo Center/Training Facility/Parts Depot in Seymour, CT in May and also has hired a full time, experienced Applications Engineer/Service expert to run it. For more information about the Demo Center/Training Facility/Part Depot or to schedule a demo, contact Chris Merow at chris.merow@europlacer-na.com.

Europlacer became a division of Parable Trust Ltd. in 2013. Europlacer has been developing machines for SMT electronics assembly since the 1970s and invented the intelligent feeder concept in the 1980s. After acquisition by Blakell Europlacer in 1991, the company moved away from split-axis to the inherently more capable X-Y architecture that underpins the company’s pick-and-place machines today. Europlacer’s policy has been to ensure wherever possible that technology purchased many years ago, especially feeders, remain compatible with the latest pick-and-place equipment. Europlacer designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of highly flexible SMT pick-and-place systems for the global electronics industry.
