SMTAi Booth #417: Pick & place equipment specialist Europlacer Americas is demonstrating integrated productivity solutions that boost overall work-center efficiency, yield and traceability.
Europlacer’s flagship iineo II system offers the largest on-machine component inventory in the industry. It processes components from 01005 to 99mm in size, and can electrically test and verify RLC devices to calibrated international standards prior to assembly. Throughput is impressive from this highly flexible twin turret machine, which can handle the industry’s largest PCB, in-line, at 24" x 63".
Offline vision and a superior machine programming interface lets process engineers rapidly set up new jobs for the placement platform away from the production floor, within minutes, delivering 95% completion efficiency. CEMs who seek higher efficiency with NPI and overall high-mix assembly business will see direct improvement in overall yield, output and traceability. Direct import from CAD data typically delivers a working program in a matter of minutes: “From CAD to pad in five minutes”, is the term coined by customers who use Europlacer’s offline vision and machine programming.
To support efficiency across the assembly floor, the Europlacer Lzero3 cabinet can store up to 2048 reels, as well as loose items and jedec trays. Humidity control, essential for MSDs, is an option. Lzero3 is driven by the company’s Warehouse Management Solution (WMS) software suite that fully automates and optimizes all storage, kitting, traceability and inventory management operations enterprise wide.
