Blakell Europlacer Distribution stole the show at the first ever UK Electronics Industry Awards. This high-profile inaugural event celebrated the achievements of top-performing companies across a range of electronics sectors, using voting by industry peers to determine the winner in each of 18 categories. Blakell Europlacer Distribution was the only company to win awards in two categories: Aerospace/Military/Defence Product of the Year for its new atom3 placement platform; and the prestigious Best Customer Service award.
The awards event was hosted at Birmingham’s National Conference Centre (home of the city’s renowned motorcycle museum) and timed to coincide with this year’s What’s New in Electronics (WNIE) Live exhibition at the NEC. Two hundred industry professionals turned out to support the awards, to network and enjoy the impressive ceremony, excellently compered by acclaimed stand-up comedian Sean Collins.
Every award category was hotly contested by a who’s-who of famous brand names from all areas of the UK industry, from engineering design tool creators, component manufacturers and distributors to production equipment companies and EMS providers.
