Siborg Systems Inc. has updated the Smart Tweezers ST-5 model, the ST-5S. This new model offers all the same functionality and features as the Smart Tweezers ST-5, but with an updated look.
Smart Tweezers were designed for evaluating Surface Mount Technology. The combination of a set of precise gold-plated tweezer tips and a powerful LCR-meter in a handheld device allows users to quickly and accurately identify and evaluate all Surface Mount Devices and older components with just a touch. The fully automatic device will determine the type of component and select the proper test range and frequency, then test for Inductance, Resistance and Capacitance, and any secondary values, such as the ESR.
Without the need for setting up between measurments, and the ability to hold and operate the device with one hand, Smart Tweezers allows users to focus on the task at hand, while leavign the other free for taking notes or holding other tools.
