The 'Artic Oven' is a low cost surface mount reflow oven for prototype SMD reflow that is capable of reaching temperatures above 270C (518F) as necessary for lead-free reflow operations. Forced air convection helps to evenly distribute the 1450 watts of energy within the heat chamber. This oven, when partnered with Articulation's microprocessor based Reflower oven controller, provides a cost effective solution to the prototype lead-free SMD reflow problem.
The oven's temperature profile is easily programmable using your PC and the Reflower's PC Profile Maintenance Application, which is included at no additional cost with the Reflower. The Profile Maintenance Application also provides the capability of storing and retrieving multiple reflow profiles on your PC's hard disk. Once your profile is downloaded onto the Reflower, the Reflower controls the Artic Oven's temperature profile and your PC is free to perform other tasks.
