Creation Technologies Receives IPC Re-Certification for RoHS Lead-Free Electronics Assembly Process Capabilities

Jan 20, 2011

Creation Technologies, a global Top-50 Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider with 11 locations across North America and China, today announced that its Santa Clara location has been re-certified through the IPC RoHS Lead Free Electronics Assembly Process Capability Program.

“We are delighted to have achieved re-certification ” said Ron Euer, Quality & Lean Leader at Creation Technologies. “Back in 2006, our Santa Clara facility was only the third site in the entire United States to be certified under the IPC RoHS Lead Free Process Capability Program. With the RoHS recast and other impending changes to global legislation, this new re-certification demonstrates our continuous improvement efforts, gives our customers an immediate insight into our RoHS capabilities and assures them that Creation Technologies has diligently designed, maintained, and validated our lead free processes.”

The IPC Certification for Lead Free Electronics Assembly Process Capability program is an audit of an organization’s facility and allows a company to benchmark their lead-free processes and to judge its capabilities to meet the requirements for RoHS-compliant or lead-free assembly. The IPC certification audit includes a rigorous series of steps culminating in a two-day on-site audit of the facility’s assembly operations.
