EvaluTech 2001, the new test event that has evolved from the growing test and inspection portion of NEPCON West, will host the five largest test and inspection companies at the upcoming exhibition, February 27 - March 1, 2001 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. SPEA, the Italian based automatic test equipment manufacturer and newest participant, joins GenRad, Agilent, Teradyne, National Instruments, and many others on the exhibit floor.
SPEA has 25 years of experience in the board test market and will showcase the 4040 Flying Probe Tester and other ATE solutions at EvaluTech, according to Andy Smithers of SPEA America. "The 4040 Flying Probe Tester, offers extremely precise probing, fast probe movement and measurements, high flying level, and a large number of bottom-side vector-less testing and fixed probing as some of it's many benefits. We've seen unprecedented demand for this product and we feel it will be very well received at EvaluTech."
"We are looking forward to exhibiting at the new EtroniX show. This show will provide us with an excellent opportunity to showcase our leading hardware and software solutions for electronics manufacturers," remarked Tim Mahan, Director of Marketing Communications at GenRad, Inc. "We have many exciting and innovative new products that help manufacturers to continually improve their process, improve time-to-market and increase their profitability."
National Instruments will be displaying easy-to-integrate software and modular hardware that increases the productivity of engineers and scientists. "Today, engineers are asking for open, modular platforms that can reduce costs, increase performance and reduce the size of their functional test systems," said Tim Dehne, National Instruments VP of Engineering. "These systems should also easily incorporate a variety of other measurement and automation components like vision and motion control. PXI is a platform based on CompactPCI that matches these needs."
The PXI Systems Alliance will also be participating at EvaluTech 2001. "Over the past two years, the huge amount of customer evaluation and adoption of PXI has driven up the number of products that conform to the standard by 400%," said Brad Smith, PXI Systems Alliance President. "And with PXISA membership growing from 10 companies in 1997 to over 60 companies today, PXI is positioned to be the de factor standard platform for manufacturing test in the near future."
"We are thrilled to host these leading industry players at EvaluTech 2001," commented John Moriarty, Event Director, Reed Exhibition Companies. "Visitors to EvaluTech will certainly have the full range of automated electronics test equipment, vision systems, software and evaluation tools available to them."
