The SIPLACE SX Road Show Moves to Orlando, Florida

The technology leader Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems (SEAS) concluded its three city tour of Mexico in Juarez on November 13, 2009. Sales engineer Martin Salgado stated “Our visitors were amazed at the new business models we can now offer by renting them additional capacity during seasonal peaks in production, without having to change a single thing in their line layouts!” For the two month period while in Mexico, more than 100 visitors watched as the SIPLACE Team perform live gantry upgrade demonstrations at record breaking speeds to showcase their latest “Real Capacity on Demand” concept.

The new SIPLACE SX features unique exchangeable gantries which can be installed or uninstalled by a single operator in less than 10 minutes. Placement performance can be added to a line without influencing feeder capacity or line layout. Capacity can also be moved from one line to another, and feeder capacity can be added without the cost of adding an entire new machine. Hence, users can now increase or decrease the placement capacity of their SMT lines and shift performance between lines in accordance with their specific requirements.

The SIPLACE SX Road Show will move to Orlando, Florida on December 1st to December 11th, and then on to Toronto, Canada in January.
