The SIPLACE SX Road Show ends with outstanding results

Feb 04, 2010

The technology leader Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems (SEAS) completed its five stages SIPLACE SX Road Show of North America in January of 2010. Over 200 visitors from 60 different companies attended the show. The SIPLACE Team performed more than 100 live gantry upgrade demonstrations during the four month tour, which took them through Mexico, the United States and Canada. Mr. Mark Ogden, Marketing manager for SIPLACE in the Americas stated “We are very pleased with the overwhelming response to our SIPLACE SX Road Show, with a fully booked schedule and some demonstrations even taking place on the weekends. It confirms to us that the SIPLACE SX is truly unique. It is the only platform on the market capable of providing rapid capacity upgrades without needing to reconfigure line layouts or change product set ups. Combine that with the 3 placement modes of the Multistar head, and you have a tremendously flexible and scaleable solution in one machine package.”

Real Capacity on Demand

The SIPLACE Team has been demonstrating its new concept of “Real Capacity on Demand” and has let manufacturers see for themselves how the affordable SIPLACE SX concept combines minimal initial investment with maximum scalability. The SIPLACE SX is the perfect answer to the increasingly rapid demand fluctuations in today’s manufacturing environment.

Additionally, the SIPLACE team has been demonstrating how the SIPLACE SX powered by the SIPLACE MultiStar (Collect & Pick & Place) head can cover the entire component spectrum using only one placement head in three different placement modes eliminating the need for head changes and line reconfigurations.

The SIPLACE SX will be on exhibit at the APEX Trade Show in Las Vegas, April 6-8. Look for upcoming announcements about SIPLACE at APEX.
