Nov 16, 2017 The Comet Group has been recognized with a 2017 Global Technology Award in the category of Test Services for its new Lab One technology and application center in Silicon Valley. The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 ceremony that took place during productronica in Munich, Germany. In Lab One, customers find a “Think Tank” for brainstorming and idea creation. In addition to X-ray, they are offered easy access to plasma control and ebeam technologies as well as expert know-how.
The systems available in Lab One accelerate the development process at the customer and internally. Thanks to Lab One, the Comet Group as a whole will make further progress in the areas of innovation and collaboration. Additionally, plasma chambers will allow Lab One to study plasma phenomena, and together with the diagnostic and control facilities, will enable customers to increase their knowledge about plasma behavior and help them to develop better products.
With its motto “Innovate. Implement. Accelerate,” Comet is offering its customers an environment in which they can quickly access all three of the technologies offered by the group – RF, X-ray and ebeam – from a single source and receive bundled expert advice. The unique value of Lab One, however, is the space it offers for promoting inspiration, for carrying out tests and for developing new applications.
