Austin American Technology (AAT) has expanded its inline cleaner production capacity by three times over the past six months, strengthening its ability to meet growing customer demand. The increase follows the successful acquisition and integration of Aqua Klean Systems’ manufacturing personnel and capabilities into AAT’s Texas facility.
The expansion allows AAT to significantly improve build times while enhancing production technology and operational efficiency. By consolidating inline cleaner manufacturing under one roof in Austin, the company has streamlined workflows, increased throughput, and expanded its skilled production team.
This growth builds on AAT’s integration with Aqua Klean Systems, bringing together 65 years of combined experience in the design and manufacture of batch and inline cleaning systems for SMT and PCB cleaning applications. The unified team now supports one of the industry’s most extesnsive portfolios of batch cleaners, inline cleaners, solvent cleaners, and stencil cleaning systems.
“Our customers are demanding shorter lead times and advanced cleaning performance, and we’ve made the investments to deliver both,” said Todd Rountree, CEO of Austin American Technology. “By expanding our inline production capacity and integrating Aqua Klean’s expertise into our Austin operations, we’re positioned to build faster and support customers with even greater efficiency.”
All AAT cleaning systems are engineered and manufactured in Austin, Texas, and are tailored to meet each customer’s specific process requirements. The company serves a wide range of industries, including automotive, medical, military, and aerospace, where precision cleaning and reliability are critical.
With increased production capacity and a strengthened engineering and manufacturing team, Austin American Technology is well positioned to support continued growth in inline cleaning demand while maintaining the performance and service standards its customers expect.

Austin American Technology is on the forefront of engineering and manufacturing high performance cleaning system for over 35 years, delivering solutions worldwide. AAT was founded in 1986, as a provider of SMT rework systems and process engineering testing services. In 1988, their focus shifted toward the high-end electronics cleaning segment with the introduction of the world’s first automated stencil cleaner. In 2000, Austin American Technology became a market leader in inline cleaning systems with the introduction of the award-winning HydroJet® series. Patented cleaning and drying technologies were incorporated into an energy and space-efficient format to set new standards for performance and low cost of ownership. Building on this success, AAT introduced the MicroJet® inline flip chip cleaner to provide high volume cleaning capability in a small footprint. In 2013 AAT introduced the world’s smallest most efficient inline cleaner, the NanoJet®. Austin American Technology merged with Aqua Klean Systems in 2024, creating the largest full line manufacturer in North America.
