Machine Vision Products, Inc., a worldwide leader in Automated Optical Inspection today announced that their new Large Board, Spectra AOI platform had won the 5th SMT China Vision award for “Inspection & Testing-AOI/SPI” at the Nepcon China 2011 exhibition in Shanghai.
This is Machine Vision Products’ third consecutive SMT China Vision award having previously received the AOI Award for their Supra E SMT platform in 2009 and Ultra 850G Microelectronics platform in 2010.
MVP has a proven track record of success with a broad range of applications across both SMT and Microelectronics covering commercial, medical and defense based devices. Built on the robust design of the Supra and Ultra series the Spectra system uses a tri-linear stage and comes in two formats. The Spectra is capable of inspection of boards up to 24”x24” with the Spectra XL being capable of an inspection envelope of up to 24”x36”.
This newest addition to MVP’s robust and flexible AOI series now provides solutions for the largest of PCB assemblies. Positioned to support even the largest assemblies for datacoms, telecoms, server and military markets, the Spectra series brings the ease of use, high performance and the flexibility of our Supra and Ultra series into the Large Board AOI arena. As per all of MVP’s platforms the Spectra is truly flexible and configurable for SMT AOI, 3D SPI and 3D inspection of press fit connector pins.
