PEMTRON’s TROI 8800 CI Series won in the Coating/Encapsulant Inspection Equipment category, while its SATURN LED 3D Solder Paste Inspection System received honors in the Inspection – SPI category. The awards were presented during a ceremony at SMTA Guadalajara, one of the region’s premier electronics manufacturing events.
The TROI 8800 CI Series sets a new benchmark for conformal coating inspection by combining AI-powered defect detection with versatile inspection capabilities. Equipped with a four-way side camera, the system enables full coverage inspection of coating on all sides of the PCB—something top-down systems alone cannot achieve. Optional inline coating thickness measurement using light wavelength spectroscopy adds another layer of precision, enabling submicron-level analysis. Designed for both accuracy and ease of use, the system features automated teaching tools, fast programming, and is available with a reverse module for simultaneous top and bottom-side inspection.

PEMTRON’s second award-winning system, the SATURN LED 3D Solder Paste Inspection system, delivers accurate solder paste inspection using quad Moiré projection, advanced 2D color imaging, and detailed 3D profiling. Available in resolutions of 10/15μm or 18μm and equipped with up to a 10MP camera, SATURN ensures precise measurement of solder paste volume, height, and area—essential for improving process control and yield in surface mount assembly.
With real-time feedback capabilities and high-speed performance, SATURN enables manufacturers to catch and correct print-related issues before they impact downstream quality. Its robust data collection and inspection algorithms make it a valuable asset in high-reliability electronics production.
