GEM Expo Announces World Class Training Program

Jun 11, 2010

São Paulo, Brazil — Trafalgar Publications Ltd., a global media provider of high-technology exhibitions, conferences and publications, announces a world-class program of training workshops at GEM Expo 2010, which is scheduled to take place October 5-7, 2010 at the prestigious, state-of-the-art Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, Brazil.

The centerpiece of the program is a three-day IPC A-610 training workshop held by STI Electronics. STI Electronics is one of the world’s leading IPC training companies. The company has participated in many of the Standards and Training Committee Programs with IPC.

Complementing the IPC workshops will be three renowned international trainers: Werner Engelmaier, better known as “Mr. Reliability” and an IPC Hall of Fame member, will conduct two workshops on lead-free reliability topics. Bob Willis from the United Kingdom will present a workshop on BGA and CSP rework and another on Conformal Coatings. Joe Fjelstad is one of the world’s leading authorities on flexible circuit technology and author of “The Handbook of Flexible Circuit Technology.” He also has an extensive background in the microelectronics packaging field. Fjelstad will hold a second workshop dedicated to microelectronics packaging. Bilingual translation will be available for all workshops.

A full Vendor Conference will operate alongside the training workshops throughout the three days of the exhibition, making this a “must-attend” event for production engineers, quality engineers and all those interested in reliability and yield enhancement in electronics assemblies.
