On Friday, November 5, 210, IPVEA’s Board of Directors (BoD) met in Frankfurt, Germany. During the meeting, Carsten Busch, Ludgar Wahlers and Patrick Binkowska signed in the presence of the Notary Public as new board members of the International Photovoltaic Equipment Association.
The three newest board members were elected in September 2010 by the members’ assembly during the 25th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC) in Valencia, Spain. Patrick Binkowska is the head of the Business Unit Photovoltaic at Singulus Technologies in Kahl, Germany; Ludger Wahlers is President of ISRA Solar Vision, a business unit of ISRA Vision AG; and Carsten Busch is the head of the Profit Center Solar at ABB Automation GmbH/Robotics.
The BoD further decided that current Board Member Mr. Schiller of Schiller Automation and newly elected Mr. Binkowska of Singulus Technologies each will serve as Vice Presidents of the association.
Founded in May 2008, the International Photovoltaic Equipment Association (IPVEA) is an independent, non-profit organization of manufacturers and suppliers of photovoltaic (PV) fabrication equipment and related raw materials used in PV ingot, wafer, cell (crystalline and thin-film), and panel manufacturing. The overall mission of the association is to provide members with a forum for information, discussion and exchange of ideas, as well as ways to develop business opportunities and strategic partnerships. The association is the unified voice of the manufacturing segment of the PV industry. As such, the association evaluates and recommends exhibitions, conferences, sales channels and methods of communications that can be effective for its member companies.
