May 21, 2004 Dynatech Technology, Inc., has named Jonny Nichols as Eastern Regional Sales Manager, solidifying its organization since becoming the exclusive North American distributor for Samsung Techwin SMT equipment. Nichols will be responsible for managing Dynatech's rep network from Canada through Puerto Rico and extending as far west as Illinois and Mississippi. He joins Dynatech after spending seven years with Torenko, a manufacturer's rep firm in Dallas, TX, where he sold Samsung Techwin products. He is based in Raleigh, NC.

Dynatech's latest product offerings include the NEO line of chip shooters and component placers, which combine speed, accuracy and flexibility with a small footprint, giving shops the ability to expand their production capabilities as their needs increase. The CP60 Series chip shooters combine dual-head gantry and LSO (Line Scan Optical) alignment systems for accurate placement at 0.1 sec/chip for components from 0201 up to 24mm sq. The CP45 Series component placers use Samsung's Flying Vision System for fast, accurate placement of components up to 42mm sq at 0.178 sec/chip. The NEO line features a standard Windows-based operator interface to reduce programming time, and shops can add Samsung's Intelligent Feeder System and tracking control software to enhance productivity and manage inventory.
Dynatech Technology, based in Horsham, PA, was formed by Dynatech International as the exclusive North American distributor for the sales and service of Samsung Techwin SMT equipment. The company is a subsidiary of Dynatech International, Edgewood, NY, a 25-year-old company and established ISO-9001 distributor of Samsung Techwin aerospace spare parts and logistics.
