Microtek Laboratories announces the hiring and appointment of Ms. Debora (Debby) Obitz as Laboratory Director of its new Microtek Laboratories-East facility located in Linthicum Heights, MD.
Ms. Obitz brings with her over 30-years of experience at a senior laboratory management level. In addition, she is very active in numerous IPC Technical Committees and Task Groups and is Chair or Vice Chair of several, including:
- 5-30 Cleaning and Coating Committee – Vice Chair
- 5-33 Coating Subcommittee – Chair
- 5-33a Conformal Coating Task Group - Vice Chair
- 7-11 Test Methods Subcommittee – Vice Chair
- 7-31at IPC-A-600 Technical Training Committee - Chair
- D-30 Rigid Printed Board Committee – Vice Chair
- IPC-A-600 - Master Instructor Trainer (MIT)

The new Microtek Laboratories facility is centrally located in the heart of Washington DC/Baltimore, MD in the newly developed BWI Technology Park just minutes from BWI Airport. Ms. Obitz will work very closely with Russ Shepherd, Microtek's Director of Operations, overseeing the development and operation of this new facility.
