Microtek Laboratories Navigates UL FR-4 File Review at the JPCA Show

Apr 30, 2014

Microtek Laboratories, a leading resource for independent testing and verification services, will exhibit in Booth 54-02 at the JPCA Show, scheduled to take place June 4-6, 2014 at the Tokyo Big Site in Japan. Microtek technical representatives will focus resources on assisting PCB and laminate manufacturers in maneuvering the UL FR-4 reclassification process.

Effective June 30, 2014, UL will eliminate ANSI FR-4 and replace it with ANSI FR-4.0 and FR-4.1. Microtek can help to determine how this will affect PCB recognition and provide answers to important questions such as:

  • How will your UL PCB file be affected?
  • Is it necessary to test your new FR-4.1 type to add a solder resist?
  • How do I add new materials?

Microtek’s experienced engineers will assist customers with test programs for UL 746E laminate and UL 796 PCB file reviews. Microtek Laboratories’ facilities can screen materials, determine test programs, and conduct testing for PCB and laminate file additions.
Microtek provides the highest level of support and services to commercial, military aerospace, medical, aerospace and automotive markets worldwide. For more information, contact 800-878-6601 or visit Microtek Laboratories’ web site at: www.TheTestLab.com.
