VJ Electronix, Inc., the leader in rework technologies and global provider of advanced X-ray inspection systems, announces that it has been awarded a 2015 NPI Award in the category of Component Storage for its XQuik II with AccuCount. The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 ceremony that took place at the San Diego Convention Center during the IPC APEX EXPO.
With the XQuik II with AccuCount Technology, maintaining inventory control of component reels has never been faster or easier. The XQuik with AccuCount system automatically counts components as small as 01005 with better than 99 percent accuracy. The process takes only seconds, compared to many minutes required by typical counting processes. The new XQuik II handles reels from 7 to 15".
According to VJ Electronix Director of Global Sales and Marketing, Don Naugler, “The XQuick with AccuCount Technology is the result of a collarborative effort combining imaging technology from VJ Electronix with counting algorithms and inventory management from Accu-Assembly, Inc. What makes this system stand out compared to other X-ray based counters is that it works without programming or a requirement to specify component types before performing a count.”
Premiering in 2008, the NPI Awards program is an annual celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly.
